Where We Started

Experience built close to the decision.

AS Group was structured as a group of companies in 2006, building on experience that began in 2004 with the founding of the first entity. The initial context was one in which accounting was treated primarily as a compliance exercise. Alina Striinu, CEO of AS Group, had built a different perspective through her earlier professional experience in financial roles: numbers don't just support reporting — they underpin decision-making. That insight became the direction — transforming financial information from a record-keeping tool into a real instrument for running a business.

The early years meant more than building a client base. They validated an approach: entrepreneurs need more than correct services — they need clarity in understanding their own business. The client relationship evolved naturally from execution to dialogue, and from dialogue to partnership, as the complexity of decisions grew.

The initial pace, typical of a growing organisation, transformed over time into sustained engagement and genuine accountability toward client businesses. Beyond growth, this phase cemented a simple conviction: trust is built through presence, consistency, and the ability to stay close to the decisions that matter.
